WHO IS MENTOR & MENTEE?
The person who has a expertise in certain area. He has a financial incentive to work with you. He has a vested interest in your success! He will coach you and teach you with his experience, knowledge & wisdom. He is called mentor.
A person who is tutored, advised, trained, or counselled by a mentor is called mentee.
It is a learning and development partnership between someone with vast experience (mentor) and someone who wants to learn (mentee).

Relationship guidelines for Mentor & Mentee:
For Mentor
- You must have a desire to help your mentee succeed. Go out of the turn to help your downlines.
- Serving & Caring attitude will help you to keep & maintain relationship with your mentee.
- A willingness to pass along information….A willingness to give and receive feedback.
- Unconditional love towards your downlines.
- Engage your downlines on an interpersonal level.
- You must have a Good listening, questioning and communication skills….Good people management and leadership skills will help in keeping relationship strong.
- With openness, honesty and trustworthiness….win their heart.
- For a good relationship with your mentee you must have a Patience & Empathy.
- If any dispute arises the benefit of doubt should go to your downline mentee.
- Eat out & have fun with your mentee.
- Follow Cardinal Rules. (No negatives, No mess up in terms of money, ego or spouse).
- Be a role model….Lead by example….Walk the talk….People will not do what you say….People will do what they see you doing.”
By building trust and modeling positive behavior, you can serve your downline mentee. Please keep in mind—your success depends on their success. Zig Zigler says—“You can get everything in life you want if you will just help enough other people get what they want.”
For Mentee
- Always act with courtesy and respect towards your mentor.
- Always be considerate and respect your mentor’s time.
- Keep in touch with your upline mentor on a regular basis. Don’t expect him to call you. You have to be the one calling him. Your call shows him that you’re motivated and makes him want to work with you more.
- Seriously consider all advice or suggestions you receive. Sit once a month with your upline mentor.
- Demonstrate that you have followed advice or commitments for action and show him outcome.
- Express your appreciation for every form of assistance you get.
- Don’t try to find ‘perfectionist’ in your upline. He is also a human being and may do mistakes & errors. Ignore them & follow ‘super market approach’. Focus on his ‘positives’.
- You must have a ability and willingness to work as a team player. Obey your mentor & attend each & every meeting you have been called for.
Your UPLINE today should be someone that you are in touch with for the rest of your life. You will work with this person–probably for a long time, maybe someone to whom you communicate with on a pretty regular and personal basis—you have to bulid a relationship with your upline for the bigger picture.
